Dia De Los Muertos/Day of the Dead Celebration.

A Celebration of Our Ancestors and Loved Ones Who Have Passed On

Bring: Flowers, Photos, poems, stories, creations, songs that they loved~

Where: McGuffey Art Center Front Lawn (Studio 11, 201 2nd Street NW, Charlottesville Va.  22902)

Community Celebration ~  Will be held November 1st ~  5:30pm to 7:30pm

Details: We will meet on the front lawn where each person will be provided with a luminary bag to honor loved one’s who have passed on.  We will then have a procession up to the community altar where we place our luminaries’ and mementos (bring flowers, photos, poems, stories, creations and songs).  There will be traditional Mexican snacks to share families are welcome, there is nothing scary about this celebration only love and beauty.  If you wish to share a song, poem or story, please record it and send to me at The Alter is set up in a traditional way with the help of several friends from Puebla Mexico.  It will be set up on Friday October 31st and will stay up through November 2nd.  If you wish to make offerings after the Community celebration, please feel free to do so.  We look forward to seeing you there.
