Mexilachian Breakfast was written by Estela to honor her parents, who worked hard to provide for not only her and her brother, but the many relatives and children who needed a place to land. They cobbled together a Mexilachian home with whatever life gave them— this is the spirit of Mexilachia.

La Bruja (The Witch) ~ Is a very old traditional Mexican folk song that has inspired a multitudes of verses over hundreds of years, some humorous, romantic or tragic. Estela was inspired to write verses that honor who and what witches have been over the centuries, Curanderas (healers) ~ Parteras (midwives) ~ Sabias (wise Women).
